VIBES: D’Angelo “Really Love

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk*
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

*Note: You can use buttermilk for a more tangy flavor. To Make buttermilk combine 1 cup regular milk with 1 Tbsp white vinegar or lemon juice, let sit for 5 mins. Ive also used Almond milk, and any other alt milks should work.

Optional Add Ins: Chocolate Chips, Banana, Nutella, Thinly Sliced Apples, Caramel, Blueberries, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Coconut Flakes, Strawberries, Raspberries.

DIRECTIONS

Blender Method: Preheat waffle iron. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla to blender. Blend on low to combine. Next add the dry ingredients, sugar, baking powder, salt and flour. Blend until combined. Scrape down sides if necessary, make sure not to over blend. 

TO mix by hand: Whisk wet ingredients in a bowl, and slowly incorporate dry ingredients until just combined.

Spray preheated waffle iron with non-stick cooking spray.  Spoon the mixture into the waffle iron (and add any optional add-ins) and serve with real maple syrup, butter, fruit, or a dusting of powdered sugar.
